Cookie Policy
Effective date: 21 May 2026 Last updated: 21 May 2026 Version: 1.0
This Cookie Policy explains how databook.dataint.net (the "Site") uses cookies and similar technologies, and how you can control them. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. Similar technologies (pixels, local storage, device identifiers) work the same way. We group them by purpose below.
2. Categories of cookies we use
Note: the exact cookie names and lifetimes below are set by Google, not by us, and can change. This table must be verified against a live cookie scan of the Site before publishing, and re-checked periodically.
2.1 Strictly necessary (always on, no consent required)
Used only to deliver the Site securely and remember your cookie choices.
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| euconsent-v2 / FCCDCF | Site / CMP | Stores your cookie consent choices | up to 13 months |
| (none — static hosting sets no tracking cookies) | Vercel | Load balancing / security | session |
2.2 Analytics (consent required where applicable)
Help us understand traffic so we can improve the Site. Provided by Google Analytics 4.
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes users | ~2 years |
| ga* | Google Analytics | Session/state | ~2 years |
2.3 Advertising (consent required where applicable)
Used by Google AdSense to fund the Site by serving ads (personalized only where you consent; otherwise non-personalized/limited ads).
| Cookie / technology | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| __gads, __gpi, IDE, ar | Ad delivery, frequency capping, measurement, (personalization where consented) | varies, up to ~13 months |
2.4 Anti-abuse / security — contact form (Google reCAPTCHA)
Loaded only on the contact page, where Google reCAPTCHA distinguishes human visitors from automated abuse so the form is not used for spam. reCAPTCHA may set a cookie and read device/usage signals for this security purpose.
| Cookie / technology | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _GRECAPTCHA | Bot/abuse detection on the contact form | ~6 months |
3. Your choices
- Consent control: use the "Cookie settings" link in the Site footer at any time to give, change, or withdraw consent for analytics and advertising cookies.
- Browser controls: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some Site features may then not work as intended.
- Google ad settings: you can manage ad personalization at myadcenter.google.com.
- California residents: the same control acts as our "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" mechanism, and we honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal (see Privacy Policy §9.3).
4. Consent: how it works by region
- EEA, UK, and Switzerland: non-essential cookies (analytics + advertising) are loaded only after you give prior, informed consent through a Google-certified Consent Management Platform (CMP) integrated with the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework (TCF v2.3). Google Consent Mode v2 signals (
analytics_storage,ad_storage,ad_user_data,ad_personalization) reflect your choices to Google's tags. - Türkiye (KVKK): under the Authority's Cookie Guide, cookies that are not strictly necessary require your prior explicit consent (açık rıza); our consent banner provides this, with a genuine "reject" option as prominent as "accept".
- Other regions: the banner applies the consent rules appropriate to your location; where consent is not legally required, you can still opt out via the same control.
⚙️ Implementation note (internal — not part of the published page)
This is a technical requirement, not just a document. Compliant ad serving to EEA/UK/Swiss visitors requires a Google-certified CMP supporting TCF v2.3 (mandatory since 28 Feb 2026) and Consent Mode v2 (required for EEA since Mar 2024; note the 15 Jun 2026 change making
ad_storagethe sole gate for advertising data on linked Ads accounts).Selected CMP — Google Funding Choices (Google's own certified CMP, integrated with TCF v2.3 + Consent Mode v2). It is enabled on the AdSense account and serves the consent banner to EEA/UK/Swiss visitors automatically, loading consent state before the AdSense and GA tags. The "Cookie settings" footer link reopens the Funding Choices dialog. KVKK + GDPR symmetry ("reject all" as prominent as "accept all") is enforced by Funding Choices.
Outstanding internal action: run a live cookie scan against the deployed Site and reconcile the §2 tables with the actual cookies observed (Funding Choices and Google can change cookie names/lifetimes; re-check periodically).
